Rocky hills
Ain't smooth roads
From slow steps to haste
A bad day that was
Like a creature gone mad
Life's wheels of red
Fuming heat and mad
Such a rough road
Not good for a lad...
The mercury of time
Paleness under the storm
Caught in a web
Of time and space
Of rough road and haste..
Careful steps
To free the mind
Not in seclusion
But in realization
A Wonderful world
Is within time
Can't you see
The wonders therein?
With eyes close
How can you see?
Beauty awaits
Unending breaks
You fail to think
Your mind stinks
How can you think?
If the mind is closed..
Unbreak your door
Unlock your key
Just a simple, hey..
Are you with me?
Ain't smooth roads
From slow steps to haste
A bad day that was
Like a creature gone mad
Life's wheels of red
Fuming heat and mad
Such a rough road
Not good for a lad...
The mercury of time
Paleness under the storm
Caught in a web
Of time and space
Of rough road and haste..
Careful steps
To free the mind
Not in seclusion
But in realization
A Wonderful world
Is within time
Can't you see
The wonders therein?
With eyes close
How can you see?
Beauty awaits
Unending breaks
You fail to think
Your mind stinks
How can you think?
If the mind is closed..
Unbreak your door
Unlock your key
Just a simple, hey..
Are you with me?
In these tragic times, my heart in deepest compassion, goes out to you and your people.
ReplyDeleteThere is in every true woman's heart a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity; but which kindles up, and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity. ~Washington Irving, The Sketch Book, 1820
Thanks Walt. The people of my origin trace their roots from a blood that has stood for fair and just leadership in the past but only to be ruled by injustice at these present times.
ReplyDeleteMy poems reflect my passion for truth,no matter how other people deformed it for their advantage.
